February 7th - Day 295

The Russian "Maslenitsa" Festival at Potters Field Park, celebrating the imminent end of winter. We turned up just in time for Daisy to want to go home. I managed to keep her waiting for an hour during which time we heard tenor Dmitry Danilenko, on the stage behind the children in the top photo, watched The Moscow Children's Puppet Theatre ("Strange," said Daisy) and heard some music by...I'm not sure who, because the timing was slightly askew and the Puppet Theatre were due on twice, so didn't know if we watched their first or second show. Could have been pupils from the Rossinka School or could have been The Musica Nova Academy or may well have been someone else. Anyway, that's them in the next photo. They, whoever they were, were accompanied by a couple of musicians. Oliver took their photo (below). Not sure why it's so blurry. It's not as if the musicians were moving at a particularly high speed. Maybe Oliver was colder than he'd let on.
