Tabla Jugalbandi at The Nehru Centre. Really fascinating stuff. Comparing the music with, say, a traditional rock band, the rhythm and melody roles appeared to be reversed. The repetitive fifteen to twenty note tunes of the harmonium provided the rhythm, whilst the stupendous tabla drumming provided the melody. That's how it seemed to me anyway.
