Whilst thunder and lightning and lashing rain prevailed outside, Dave, Steve and I supped fine ale and cosied up with The Blythe Hill Tavern Irish Music Session. This from their facebook page: "Informal Traditional Irish Music session held every Thursday night from 9.00pm onwards at the Blythe Hill Tavern, corner of Blythe Hill Lane and Stanstead Road London SE23. Informal maybe, but beautiful and lively playing of a wide selection of jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slides, airs, marches and songs from the Irish tradition and beyond, played on fiddle, tin whistle, flute, banjo, spoons, accordion, bodhrán and other traditional instruments. *Competent* guest are welcome to participate". I joined in on pub table.
